Hole 9

The number 1 handicap hole on the course. This formidable par 4 doglegs right and tee shots played to the center or left will carom into the left rough and could be blocked by trees. A slight fade favoring the inside corner is the preferred line. The second shot requires a firm long iron from a stance with the ball slightly above the player's feet. A pesky mound short of the green rejects shy play yet bold contours in the putting surface make proper club selection vital. Birdies are rare though making a par can give the same feeling.
